Hard Yeses, Soft Cocks, Black Friday
how I'm styling basics, sales up to 30% off, and erection coverage
Last month, I wrote about losing my boner for fashion. Today I'm here as a soon-to-be certified sex coach with a PSA in honor of Soft Cock Week. Plus I’ll tip you off to some really good sales and show you multiple ways to style some new fall basics.
As a person who wants to help heal the world through sex positivity, a big part of my focus is to be a bridge of healing sexual and erotic conflict between men and women, deprogramming incels and exfiltrating men from the manosphere, eradicating heteropessimism as a default outlook, and debunking myths and stereotypes about gendered behavioral flaws related to sex, and helping to reconsider and relieve pressures around gender expectations, help end the loneliness epidemic and restore non-toxic balance in and foster harmony by encouraging positive and respectful dialogue. I encourage everyone to be tender with one another. Especially right now. 4B ain't it.
From SOFTCOCKWEEK.com:
Our mission is to provide a supportive, informative, and fun place for people to explore, ask questions, share new ideas, and discover for themselves that the body can be a rich source of pleasure no matter how the penis shows up. We also acknowledge and honor that feelings of isolation, vulnerability, grief, shame, frustration, and confusion often accompany erectile issues, be it your own or your partners, and that offering knowledge, compassion, resources, and community are essential to well-being and our capacities for continued growth throughout the life journey.
Sis' Six Tips for Soft Cock Week
1 Don't Make an Assumption About the Cause
If you or someone you know is experiencing ED, please be aware ED could be an early warning sign of health issues. I encourage a visit to a physician to test for / rule out / get treatment for health issues such as obesity, high blood pressure, vascular problems, diabetes, substance abuse, depression, or side effects of medications. I encourage making lifestyle changes to address the root causes of ED and regular checkups with a health care provider.
2 Focus on Pleasure
Cock rings and medications like Viagra can help maintain an erection during penetrative sex. But keep in mind sex is more than penetrative intercourse. For those having sex with a penis haver who is experiencing ED, experiment with taking penetrative sex out of the equation, or at least demoting it. Experiment with taking orgasm as the goal of sex out of the equation. Slow down, tune into your partner, and focus on other forms of sexual and sensual pleasure during sexual activity.
3 Don't Shame / Body Shame
After reading Becoming Cliterate by Laurie Mintz, I have taken the pledge outlined in the book, which includes not making small dick jokes or soft cock jokes or any other body shaming jokes (even when I ponder what compels some men to speed around town in those obnoxiously loud sports cars).
4 Be Kind
Consider performance anxiety, inhibition, stress, past trauma, emotional blockages, and have empathy. Coax a soft cock with kindness, admiration, and praise. Make sure you and your penis-having partner feel safe, cared for, comfortable, and empowered. Allow them to communicate their preferences, desires, and needs without judgment from you. It's essential to recognize that ED is a medical condition, not a reflection of masculinity.
5 Don't Take it Personally
If you or your partner experiences a soft cock, don't take it personally. Be informed. ED has many causes, from medical to psychological. It can happen at any age. And a cock that goes from hard to soft throughout a sexual encounter can be completely normal. Porn's depiction of rock-hard, long-lasting erections doesn't portray reality.
6 Destigmatize ED
Have open, nonjudgemental conversations about ED, its prevalence, many possible causes, numerous treatments, and workarounds.
Hard Yeses
That's my first PSA of the post. The next is to show you the versatility of a few new things from Rue Sophie. So versatile, I styled each several ways. I've added them to my wardrobe, and you might like to add them to yours. I also think you’ll love the around-$200 price point.
For one, this shirt, which is nipped at the waist and has balloon sleeves. I loved layering mine with my pearl-encrusted crochet bikini top or a black corset belt. I like it tucked and untucked. I wear it with full skirts, wide-leg jeans, pleated trousers, A-line skirts, and layered over a sheer lace dress. It can go from work to weekend, day to night, season to season. It's down to serve as party attire, casual attire, or office attire.
This wool cashmere A-line skirt can be styled super simply with basic tops, over pants, and under mini skirts, with a sheer lace layer peeking out.
This lace slip dress wouldn't have to be a one-time-wear for a holiday party. It can be celebrated year-round by getting creative with it. I styled mine as a dress and as a skirt. I layered it under skirts and over pants skirts, with thigh-high boots, every height of heel imaginable, and fuzzy slippers, with nude underwear, under a cardigan, with brown nylons, with an oversized blazer, and under a big coat.
And I layered it all under that big grey coat I went on and on about in the last post.
Speaking of getting creative, lately I've enjoyed wearing things like this Ozma wrap top and this Simkhai cotton cashmere wrap dress backward. This wrap dress is styled on their site as both a dress and loungewear, comes in 4 colors, and some coordinating wide scarves in 5 colors (including a bright red on sale for $78) are available as well.
Premature Black Friday
My last PSA of the day is about six Black Friday / Cyber Monday sales. I’ll tip you off to more BFCM sales as quickly as I can this month.
If you cannot wait until the day after Thanksgiving to get those deep discounts, a few retailers, including a few of my favorites, are starting early.
1 - Dehanche, maker of the most badass corset belt (seen above) and on every other stylish lady in your feed, has already begun their Black Friday sale for all of November, and it’s a big one -up to 30% off the entire collection.
2- More good belts and jewelry are 30% off at Aureum for all of November.
3 - Something is happening at Ozma, an all-time favorite of readers of The Sort. It involves 30% off, becoming a newsletter subscriber, and getting early access. I’d say to get on that immediately if you love ethically-made, quality clothing and simple, smart, timeless design.
4 - Everything (well, nearly every full-priced thing) at the very cool LuisaViaRoma is 35% off starting 3 days ago (sorry for not getting this news out sooner) with code LVR35. The sale ends on the 20th Rome time.
5 - DECIEM has done one better and taken a stance against the panic-fueled rush of Black Friday and will close that day. However, they offer a 23% discount on all products like The Ordinary, which is already well priced, throughout the month they’ve dubbed Slowvember.
6 - I’ve given you my discount code for ZIIP (who makes my favorite nano current device) before, but the discount will double for the November / Black Friday deals. Code SISSYHALO will get you 20% off, plus an extra 20% off the Christmas Superior Gift Set and 25% off gels with code SISSYGEL.
i love that you seem to have found your purpose. the tone in your recent newsletters expresses that and its very inspiring and joyful to read.
